The owner and chef, Daisy has a strong passion for cooking. Daisy came to Canada in 2002 from Myanmar. Her first job was at Tsawwassen Golf & Country Club where she learned to cook Western cuisine. After that, she owned and operated a Sushi business in 2009, located inside the Thrifty Foods store in Victoria at Admirals Walk. From owning a sushi business, she decided to showcase her talent in making home-cooked authentic Burmese, Chinese & Malaysian food for customers and later pursued in opening Laksa King. She gets gratification from seeing happy customers who love her food and leave the restaurant with 100% satisfaction. When she was in Burma, she worked with her best friend who is the owner of a famous Burmese Bakery shop called Shwe Pu Zun Bakery. That’s where she learned how to make the famous Burmese dessert Faluda. Daisy can cook multicultural cuisines and accepts special catering orders or for private functions. Laksa King is a family run restaurant.
